The LMCC offers a variety of production classes to people who live in any of our 17 member cities as well as Mound through a studio usage agreement. These classes are designed to teach anyone the basics of camera operation and editing. Classes are free but space is limited, so call early and make arrangements to take a class from the LMCC today!

Final Cut Pro (new!)
Learning Final Cut Pro can be fun and easy. This class will teach producers how to use Final Cut Pro, the industry standard in nonlinear editing. We use Apple computers (Mac), and have everything else you will need to have a great training session. At your request we can incorporate some of the peripheral software such as LiveType, Motion, SoundtrackPro and others into the workshop.
Studio Production Basics
Studio Production Basics is a four week class that covers production in our studio. It is also a prerequisite to all other classes. In this class, you will learn to operate studio cameras, lights and microphones. You will also set-up a studio production scenario and learn the basics of multi-camera switching and graphics.
Digital Production Basics
Digital Production Basics is also a four week class for digital beginners where we will introduce you to our digital video cameras. You will train on our state of the art non-linear editing system where you will learn how to incorporate digital graphics and special effects into your program. Successful completion of Final Cut editing certifies you as a digital producer!
Van Production Basics
Once you have completed the "Basics" class you can sign up for our Production Van Basics class. This is perfect for any groups who would like to cover sporting events, concerts, parades or any other large event. You will learn how to switch between camera shots, add graphics on the fly and how to incorporate audio from the source, remotely for play by play or combine the two! Our Van Production class is offered on a workshop basis only, so organize your production group, call and sign up now
