The Lake Minnetonka Communications Commission garnered three international awards this year for the community production "Deephaven Days". LMCC Program Manager, Chris Vogt, produced the program in conjunction with the City of Deephaven.
"Deephaven Days" is representative of the great community programming in the lake area. The City of Deephaven went the "extra mile" to work with producer Chris Vogt to help him capture the excitement of the event. Chris Vogt presented award plaques to the City of Deephaven at their August 7 City Council Meeting for their participation in the program.
The LMCC was recognized for excellence in community television by the "Videographer Awards". The LMCC received two "Awards of Distinction" in two separate categories for "Deephaven Days" and an "Honorable Mention" for LMCC's "Lakeside News". "Awards of Distinction" are awarded to productions that clearly exceed industry standards. This competition is open to all video producers, including corporate video and broadcast programming.
The LMCC also received a "Hometown Video Award" for "Deephaven Days" in the Community Event programming Category. "Hometown" is the programming awards competition for the Alliance For Community Media, a national organization representing community television around the world. Both video awards programs had hundreds of entries. The LMCC would like to thank all local residents who participated in this program.
